Can a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ7K 7.2MP Digital Camera use other AA rechargeable batteries?

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ7K 7.2MP Digital Camera’s product details says: "battery type Oxyride AA" (which are included)

I want to know if I can use my alkaline rechargeable batteries on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ7K 7.2MP Digital Camera because I’m afraid I’ll have to go buy another special charger for the Oxyride batteries.

Please help! Thank you.

    Use the lithium Ion energizer batteries, they’ll last a heck of a lot longer.

    If they are rechargeable make sure they are NiMH.
